Rogate Singers at the Rogate Market

On Saturday 25th November, the Rogate Primary Choir sang to open the Rogate Market at the Village Hall.

The pupils of Rogate CE Primary were a credit to the school on Saturday 25th of November when their beautiful festive carolling opened the Rogate Christmas Market.

A huge crowd of parents, villagers and customers for the Market looked on as our pupils performed with confidence despite the freezing temperatures. Rogate has been represented at the Market for two years running - it was great to see even more pupils this year than last year, singing out loudly and proudly.

The event, organised by local superhero, Debs Burles, was raising money for Tandem, a charity for elderly people in the community which enables them to have company and take part in activities; a West African charity which supports education for children in some of the areas poorest regions and the Parish emergency fund. This super event raised in excess of £5,000.

Headteacher, Amy O'Toole said "It is wonderful to have the village and the school working so closely together, we may only be a small village but together we can make a difference to many."
