The pupils of Rogate CE Primary ran for Chestnut Tree House on Monday 18th December!
On Monday 18th December, pupils from across Rogate CE Primary School and the Rogate Robins Pre-School ran a Reindeer Run in order to raise money for the Chestnut Tree House-a hospice and respite centre for children in West Sussex. The centre is equipped to support children and families coping with life-threatening and life-limiting illnesses and conditions.
The children were tasked with running a full lap of the school field for every year of their age. However, many children asked to run more laps in order to earn more sponsorship money. James (Year 2) said: "I know that I am very lucky to be so fit and healthy and I want to help other children that are not as lucky as me."
The children all enjoyed themselves hugely. The school has not yet had all the sponsorship money returned but as soon as we do we will update this article to report the total funds raised.
Well done Rogate Reindeers! To see more images, please visit our gallery.
