Amy O'Toole: Headteacher
I have been teaching for 10 years and the passion I have for teaching and providing an outstanding education for those children in my care has only grown. I have worked in a range of settings and while I have learned many things at all my other schools, I have never felt as attached or as much a part of the community as I do at Rogate. This school is a very special place and I am so proud to be responsible for leading us forward on our journey of improvement.
Stephanie Garwood: SENDCO/EYFS/SLT/Little Owls Class Teacher
I started my teaching career here at Rogate Primary School where I remained for 4 years. I then took up a post as Lower School Leader at Liphook Junior School for 2 years. The call of Rogate then drew me back to take the SENDCO role-I could not resist returning to this beautiful nurturing setting. As part of SLT and as EYFS lead I am enjoying helping to lead the school from strength to strength.
Harry Andrews: Red Kites Class Teacher/ Maths Leader
I completed my training at Rogate, then I went away to complete my NQT year in a school in Portsmouth, my home city. However, I knew I would back- I couldn't resist being part of this caring, close-knit school community. I absolutely love making learning fun, explorative and hands on. I have high expectations of the children, which I find encourages them to achieve more than they may have believed themselves to be capable of.
Susie McAuley: Kingfishers Class Teacher (Monday, Tuesday)
I'm just starting my second year at Rogate and loving it.I began teaching over 20 years ago and it has taken me on a journey all over the world, working in and visiting some fantastic places. I have taught in Kuwait, in the Middle East, for 14 years making wonderful friends and teaching amazing children, some of who I am still in touch with.I then moved, with my own children, to Thailand where we lived and I taught at an International school in Bangkok for two years before we decided it was time to spend more time with family and we moved back to England. I am really enjoying working with Miss Field and with the Kingfishers Class!
Rachel Field: RE Lead/Kingfishers Class Teacher (Wednesday, Thursday, Friday)
I have been working with Rogate for 14 years. I love being part of a small school as I enjoy the nurturing environment and the Christian ethos which makes the school such a loving place to work for the children and the staff. As RE Lead, I am proud of the way our pupils now engage with RE, the 'Big Story' of The Bible and mature discussion. I am really enjoying working with the Kingfishers class this year and I am looking forward to the exciting learning we will be doing together.
Dawn Spice: Squirrels TA/ HLTA (PPA)
Educating children and seeing them progress and flourish is amazing! That is why I work at Rogate because we all believe our children have the right to learn and support their individual journeys to reach their own goals. This year I am particularly enjoying delivering the PSHE to the pupils across the school. It is wonderful to hear them discussing a wide variety of issues so maturely and sensitively.
Rachael Wildman: TA/ Intervention
I have been part of the Rogate learning community for the past 4 years as both a parent and a TA. I love working in such a beautiful setting and the outside learning opportunities our pupils have.I enjoy working both with small groups and in the class as a whole- it is fantastic to see how our pupils all support each other to be the best that they can be.
Jenny Stonehouse: TA
I joined the Rogate team in 2014 and have worked as an assistant pre-school supervisor and a TA in reception. This year I'm a TA in the Kingfishers class with years 2 and 3. It's great working at Rogate, seeing the children grow and enjoy learning. I love light bulb moments!
Sarah Wherry: TA / Learning Mentor
I joined the school as a parent in 2014 and soon after became a lunch-time supervisor. More recently I have taken on the roles of TA and Learning Mentor. I love this school because it feels like one big family where everyone-staff, pupils and parents, is valued and included.
Carla Waterer: LSA/ School Council
I have 2 children at the school and began volunteering at the school while undertaking a Diploma in Childcare and Development. I am now employed by the school as an LSA in Red Kites class and I manage the school council. Being a part of this school and the community is very rewarding-the staff face the daily challenges as a team and support one another to achieve the best outcomes for the pupils.
Office and Site Staff
Sarah McCarthy: School Business Manager
I joined Rogate in April 2016. Since then there have been many challenges which I have enjoyed tackling head-on. This is a very special school and I feel very proud to be part of the team!
Rachel West: Site Supervisor
I have been the Site Supervisor here for 15 years and I have also been a parent here for most of those years. I have seen many changes in the school, especially in the last 2 years. My children have been very happy here and have achieved fantastic things and I love my job. It makes such a difference to work in a truly supportive environment.
